I would encourage you to read PSALM 34 in its entirety,
before speaking this prayer.

We understand that “the angel of the Lord” forever surrounds and protects those who look to you for authority, admire you, and choose to follow you.
Help us to remember to taste of your holiness and see that you are good, Father God, and to remember that you bless those who take refuge in you–no matter what seems to be happening “out there,” in our worldly surroundings.
Help us to ALWAYS remember who you are, that you never fail, and that because you have brought us into holy relationship with you through Jesus, we lack nothing–even if we physically see lack or emptiness “out there,” in our worldly surroundings.
We don’t seek to be powerful “lions” in the worldly system. Those lions are going to eventually grow weary, hungry, and experience the lack and emptiness that is “out there,” in our worldly surroundings.
We know, though, that because we are seeking YOU, and learning more and more every day about how to truly walk in YOUR Kingdom, we WILL lack no good thing.
Thank you that you continually show us–because we are in relationship with you–HOW to look to you for authority, admire you, and choose to follow you, step by step. Even when we sometimes have a hard time seeing exactly where your pathway might be leading, we commit to leaning on you, and trusting your leadership.
Because of you, we can love life, and we can look forward to seeing many good days ahead.
Because of you, we can pledge to keep the words of our mouths clear of hatefulness and lies.
Because of you, we truly can turn from evil and do good, and we can seek peace and then pursue it. Hallelujah!
