I would encourage you to read Psalm 71 in its entirety, before speaking this prayer. Over the next few weeks, we’ll use the remainder of this Psalm for a progression of additional prayers.

In you, Lord, I have put my faith and trust, knowing that you have given me YOUR faith, so that I may fully trust you, and that you will never take it away from me.
Thank you that you have delivered me through your righteousness, and have caused me to escape from unrighteousness. You have listened to my prayers, and you have saved me.
Therefore, you are my strong refuge, in which I reside. You have saved me by your Word. You are my Rock and my Fortress. You have delivered me from a life of wickedness, and out of the dominion of those who are unrighteous or cruel.
You are my hope, Lord. Not only did you create me physically, but through faith in Jesus, you have caused me to be “born again.” I will continue to praise you, now and forever.
