[BASED ON] Isaiah 40:28-31 (NKJV–Bible Gateway)
(God’s People Are Comforted)

I would encourage you to read Isaiah 40 in its entirety (the link will open in a new page), before praying this prayer. As always, we are able to see what God is doing NOW, by what He’s done in the past. This scripture is talking about God’s way of doing things, versus the world’s way of doing things (in all nations, globally).

In verses 28-31, God (through the prophet Isaiah) asked His people a very important question, and then answers it for them/us. I’ve used those verses to prepare this New Testament declaration, in line with God’s declaration, which (like Him) was, is, and is to come. By speaking these things back to Father God, we acknowledge our belief in Him, and we gain comfort and strength from His intent for us.

Father God, we have known and heard that you are, indeed, the Everlasting God, the Lord, and the Creator of All. We know that you are not weak in any way, shape, or form, and that you never get weary. We also understand that though we might search to find an end to your understanding, it cannot be done. You know everything, because you created everything, and we acknowledge that.

Because of that, we also understand that because YOU created us, you have given power to US, even though we sometimes think we are terribly weak. Even though we might feel that we have no power or strength left in us, you come to us and see to it that, instead, we gain more of YOUR strength, YOUR power, and YOUR might.

Even the very young (who sometimes seem to have much strength, possibly more than that of older people), sometimes grow faint with weariness. Sometimes they (as with everyone of any age) fall into failure (even if it’s only in their own eyes).

However, we understand that those (of ANY age) who wait on (spend time with, serve, are attentive to, worship, or praise) you—the Lord Jesus Christ—shall be renewed in your strength. That strength means that we are enabled to mount up with wings like eagles, to run without becoming weary, and to walk out our lives without discouragement or fear.

We can stand on this word from you, Father God, in whatever circumstances surround us. Our hope, truly, is in you.

Glory to You, Great Father, and Amen!
