Thank you, Lord that in making us righteous by the shed blood of Jesus, you have relieved us from the power of distress. Thank you that you continually have mercy on us, hear our prayers, and have, by your own faith, made us to walk in your grace.

We understand (and know that you do, also) that there are those in the world who are continually trying to shame us. They speak about worthless things as if they were precious, and continually seek more and more lies to spread.

We also understand, Lord, that you have set us apart (keeping us for yourself) and that you hear us when we call out to you, in any situation. So, instead of spending our days filled with anger, distress, or depression (while trying to rid OURSELVES of their lies and slander) we will redeem our time by learning more about you through your Word, and learning from Holy Spirit how to best keep our souls free from strife.

Thank you that you have made us righteous in your own sight, Lord. We put our trust in you, rather than walking in worldly darkness, sadness, and hopelessness. We take your Light and your Love to them, proudly, and without fear.

We are joyful in you now–even more than when things seemed to be going well in the world. Even as we delight ourselves in you continually, you are beginning to separate the tares from the wheat all over the world.

Because of this, we rest in you, which means we can delight ourselves in you each and every day while continuing to take the Gospel of your Kingdom out into the world. We believe that you alone, Lord, are the guarantee of safety and well-being for us–no matter what situations lie in front of us.
