1-3) To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. I trust in you. Let me not be ashamed. Let not my enemies triumph over me. Indeed, let NO person who waits for you in faith be ashamed.
4-5) Show me your ways, O Lord. Teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation. I set my heart to serve and obey you all the day.
6-7) Remember, O Lord, your tender mercies and your loving kindnesses, for they are forever present. Thank you that you do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my past transgressions. Instead, you remember me, Lord, according to YOUR mercy and YOUR goodness.
8-9) You are good and upright, Lord. Therefore, you teach me your ways, you teach me humility, and you guide me in justice.
10-11) All your paths, Lord, are mercy and truth. I believe in your covenant and your testimonies. Thank you for the blood of Jesus, and that you have pardoned my sins, which were many.
12) Because I have believed in you, Lord, you are happy to teach me further, about your ways for my life.
13-14) You, O Lord, dwell in goodness, and have made me one of your descendants. I have an inheritance from you, in this world. You are even now, teaching me your secrets, because I believe in and love you, and you are continually revealing your covenant with me, through the voice of Holy Spirit, in my heart.
15-16) My eyes are always watching you, Lord, and you always lead me to safety. You have turned yourself to me, and you HAVE had, DO HAVE, and always WILL HAVE mercy on me. I no longer need to walk in desolation and affliction. Thank you!
17-18) Trouble had lived in my heart, but you looked on my affliction and pain, forgave my sins, and brought me out of my distresses.
19-21) Even though there were many who seemed to hate me, you have kept my soul and delivered me. Therefore, I will not be ashamed, for I have put my trust in you. Your integrity and your uprightness HAVE preserved me, ARE PRESERVING me, and always WILL PRESERVE me, because I walk in your footsteps and serve you.
22) Thank you, Lord, that you have redeemed me by the blood of Jesus, and have made me one of your covenant children–even as you have also redeemed Israel.
AMEN!
