It’s been quite some time since I’ve sketched much at all. Earlier this year, I started feeling the urge to get back into it, and I created this VERY quick sketch. A similar photo to the one I used as inspiration (I can’t locate the original, which was a much better photo from a different angle), can be found here.
On the 14th of October, 2019, I learned about an annual event of which I had never heard, which grabbed me and pulled me in. A YouTuber friend (Gillian Cross–aka Adela Butterfly) posted her first 15 days of Inktober 2019 { https://youtu.be/g-gU6Ll0R80 }, on her YouTube channel, and I was off and running for the second half of the month.
Subsequently, I posted my own video for the second half of Inktober 2019. I scanned all of my sketches, added music for each one, and gave a small narrative for each sketch.
Here are the scans of my Inktober 2019 (2nd Half) drawings, that were featured in that video. Please note that though some of my drawings are COMPLETELY mine (products of my own imagination, translated from mind to paper), most of them were inspired by photos or drawings that I found previously published on the internet. I just copied them (or the essence of them) but I DREW them all from scratch.
You can click on the individual sketches to see larger sizes.
My initial drawings were in pencil, then I refined them in the required ink, using (for the most part) my favorite pen (I buy several boxes of them every year), the uni-ball roller micro 0.5 mm, black. They are quality pens that I buy here.
